The float (8) is guided on the lid of the salt container. There is a sensor pin (12) at the bottom which when the container (1) is full of salt (2) keeps the float in its upper end position. In this position the viewfinder face (18) set in the lid (5) for indicating when the container is empty is covered by a cover plate (15). An accurate reading is now possible since without the sensing pin the float (8) would occupy its lower end position even after the salt container has been filled since the liq. needs a certain time until its concentration has reached a sufficient level for driving up the float, even though the container has just been filled.
