<p>PURPOSE:To change a sampling time for coordinate detection to an optimum time and to obtain accurate positional information. CONSTITUTION:This touch panel is provided with a detection part 2 for continuously detecting the X and Y coordinate values of a contact point touched with a finger point or the like, a data transfer control part 4 for sending the coordinate value of the contact point detected by the detection part 2 to a processor 5, a mode register 6 having a sampling time setting part 6-2 for specifying a sampling time for coordinate detection from the external, and a storage part 10 for storing all input data collected during the period of the sampling time and constituted so as to set up the sampling time correspondingly to a data transfer speed when the specified sampling time is faster than the data transfer speed to/from the processor 5 at the time of setting up an automatic mode by an automatic/detailed mode setting part 6-1 and transfer all the data stored in the storage part 10 to the processor 5 when detailed mode is set up.</p> |
