LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display panel which can surely prevent the disconnection of signal lines without drastically increasing the number of stages and the process for production thereof. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal panel has the signal line 2a consisting of a chromium layer 14 conductively connecting to a source region 4 via a 1st connecting hole 13a and an aluminum layer 23 on the surface thereof on the front surface side of an interlayer insulating film 13 formed on the front surface side of a thin-film transistor 8. A flush electrode layer 21 formed simultaneously with the chromium layer 14 is conductively connected to a drain region 7 via a 2nd connecting hole 13b. A thick polyimide film layer 31 is formed on the front surface side thereof and a picture element electrode 32 is conductively connected to the flush electrode layer 21 via the connecting hole 31a thereof and its end 32a extends near to the signal line 2b of the adjacent picture element region 1b.
