Control panel for peripheral devices on motor vehicle - is connected freely to equipment for multiplex positioning, lighting and heating of external rear-view mirrors

The panel (1) is not fixed to the dashboard but wired (14) via a control signal generator (13) to a multiplex system operating both external mirrors (2, 3) with their edge lights (4), heaters (5) and longitudinal and transverse positioning motors (7, 9). These are activated by separate keys (15, 16) grouped around a central key (21) for special mirror-setting, e.g. in close proximity to kerbs. Such settings can be called-up (23) from a memory (22). ADVANTAGE - Safe and user-friendly operation of peripherals and auxiliary drives achieved by freely movable panel having only functional connection with vehicle.
