The electrical device proposed has a circuit board (10) carrying an electronic circuit containing electronic components (12). For electrical-contacting purposes, the circuit has a multiple contact strip (14). In order to protect the circuit reliably against moisture, it is fitted, in addition to the casing cover (27) and casing floor (32), with moistureproof plastic covers (16, 23) which form a hood over the top (11) and underside (22) of the circuit board. These plastic covers form a moisturetight joint with the circuit board. The casing cover (27) and floor (32) do not have to fulfil any sealing function, being designed solely to protect the circuit board from mechanical damage and, if necessary, to provide electrical screening.
