The water heater has a flange on a storage tank, which is located in an insulating shell. Extensions (7) are formed on the shell (5), which extend in front of the flange (2). The edge of the shell extensions have channel-like passages (10) for constructional parts (3, 4), which are fastened to the flange. The edges of all shell extensions engage on each other, or overlap, and the extensions together cover the flange. The shell is held together by straps. These are located in external recesses (12) in the shells. USE/ADVANTAGE - Water-heater has thermal insulation for flange, but is easy to mount.
