PURPOSE:To easily and rapidly discriminate whether an initial program is loaded in a terminal device or not, with respect to the diagnostic system for an information system. CONSTITUTION:When a communication between the controller 1 and the terminal device 2 of the information processing system connecting the controller 1 and the terminal device 2 in a loop shape is abnormal, the controller 1 transmits a diagnostic signal to the terminal device 2 and decides whether the terminal device 2 is in the state of the disconnection or connection of power source in accordance with whether the terminal device outputs a response signal to the diagnostic signal or not. The terminal device 2 is provided with an identification signal generator 3 generating an identification signal displaying whether the initial program is loaded or not to the terminal device 2, and an identification signal adding means 4 adding the identification signal to the response signal. Then, the controller 1 is provided with an identification signal recognizing means 5 recognizing the identification signal. |
