Increasing clarification plant treatment capacity - by heating waste water feed using e.g. waste heat

In clarification plant with capacity increasing by targetted heat utilisation, thermal energy from various sources is used for heating the waste water feed to the plant. Pref. heat is supplied at the plant inlet, in the pre-clarification tank, in the aeration tank, in a mixing or homogenisation tank and at the feed lines to the tanks. ADVANTAGE - The (waste) heat is utilised to increase the biological decomposition capacity of the aeration tank and so the purification capacity of the plant is increased without increasing the aeration tank size.
