The self-priming pump unit comprises an immersion pump (2) in a fluid filled housing.It incorporates a suction pipe (5) and a reserve container (4). The lower part (7) of the housing has a central chamber (10) open towards the top and a similarly open external and ring shaped chamber (11), with the suction union (9) of the pipe (5) opening in tangentially aligned manner into the suction housing (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - Self priming pump for use on machine tools and fluid containers of all kinds where the liquid has a large quantity of solid material and impurities, which permits the separation of liquid from solid during the pumping action.
