PURPOSE:To improve the shock resistance of a jacket by mixing synthetic rubber with a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate as resin and by forming the main body out of the obtained plastics-made sheet. CONSTITUTION:Jacket body A is formed out of plastics-made sheet 1 obtained by sheet-forming a mixture of a vinyl-chloride/vinyl-acetate copolymer and an additive of 1-15wt% synthetic rubber as resin. Consequently, the synthetic rubber in the plastics-made sheet provides proper flexibility to absorb and reduce a shock applied to the magnetic disk jacket, so that the shock resistance of the jacket can be improved. |
