The bearing holder carries the dressing roller on a hollow shaft which is mounted at its ends in fixed and removable bearing housings respectively and has condical extensions at both ends to engage tapered bushes in the two bearing housings. The shaft extension (4) at the fixed bearing end carries a coaxial threaded boss (17), whose fitted cap nut (11) has a hexagonal interior (12) to screw onto an annular shoulder (14) in the bush (10), and at the far end against the end stop (13) fixed to the bush. The nut inside hexagon (12) lines up with the hollow shaft (1) bore and its corner outline is no larger than that of a bore. USE/ADVANTAGE - In grinding tool timing machines, with easy access for roller exchange without hollow shaft dismounting.
