<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a driver circuit for a line print head by reducing the number of connectors or connector terminals and reducing the area of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:N driver ICs 50 each having an n-bit writing element are arranged to constitute one line and each of them has an n-bit shift register 51. When DATA signals corresponding to (n) bits are arranged in the n-bit shift register 51 in synchronous relation to a CLOCK signal, the DATA signal is latched and sent to an AND gate circuit 53 from an n-bit latch circuit 52. When a switching circuit 55 receives a STROBE signal consisting of a plurality of pulses, a switching signal is successively sent to the respective blocks of the AND gate circuit 53 corresponding to the respective pulses. The AND gate circuit 53 is divided into (m) blocks and receives the DATA signal and the switching signal to take AND to send the same to a driver circuit 54.</p> |
