The profiled strip for framing a partition for article suspension is made of extruded plastics (1), or aluminium and has stiffening compartments (12, 15). Oneside has a suspension slit (6) half-way up the front (5) of the strip. Front straps (4) of equal height are joined onto each side of the slit and are set back by half the width of the slit w.r.t. tongue-and-groove protrusions (16, 17) at the ends of each profiled strip.
