<p>PURPOSE:To correct unrequired movement at the time of executing selecting operation by a pointing device such as a track ball. CONSTITUTION:This coordinate input device is provided with a CPU 13 for detecting the moving variable of a pointing device moving body in each prescribed time unit based upon the outputs of X-axis and Y-axis encoders 11, 12, storing respective moving variables in their detection order in a buffer circuit 17, the code-inverted data of the up-to-date data stored in the buffer circuit 17 when a selection switch 10 is closed, and then outputting data indicating the closed state of the switch 10.</p> |
