PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly electro-conductive electrophotographic member that contributes to formation of high-quality electrophotographic images while reducing bleed-out of an ion conducting agent, a process cartridge, and an electrophotographic apparatus.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic member 1 has a conductive mandrel 2 and an electro-conductive layer 3, 4, 5. The electro-conductive layer 3, 4, 5 comprises an anion and a resin synthesized from a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic cation and a compound that can react with the nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic cation. The nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic cation has two substituents bonded to hydroxyl groups, in which the substituent bonded to a hydroxyl group is bonded to a nitrogen atom of a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocycle in the nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic cation. |
