The plated clad metal sheet according to the invention comprises a first layer or plating cladding made from an iron- or nickel-based alloy which contains at least 11% of chromium and at least 17% of nickel and is corrosion-resistant in very corrosive media such as acids, and a second layer or base made of austenitic stainless steel containing at least 11% of chromium and at most 17% of nickel resistant to atmospheric corrosion. The plated clad metal sheets according to the invention can be re-laminated in the cold state to a thickness of 2 mm.
