PURPOSE: To provide a proportional control valve for controlling hydraulic motor which can quickly and smoothly stop a hydraulic motor used for driving a vehicle, a swivel base, etc. CONSTITUTION: A proportional control valve 10 for driving and controlling hydraulic motor is constituted of the flow passage area A1 of an oil supplying passage 21 connected to the inlet side of a hydraulic motor 8 from a hydraulic pressure supplying source, the flow passage area A2 of an oil discharging passage 24 connected to a tank 25 from the outlet side of the motor 8, and solenoids 12b and 12b which control the stroke of a spool 11. The areas A1 and A2 are continuously increased from nearly zero as the stroke of the spool 11 increases from a neutral position and, at the same time, the increasing rates of the areas A1 and A2 are variably set in accordance with the stroke position of the spool 11. |
