PURPOSE:To realize the optical transmitter using a VTG signal of 6Mbps used for a SONET so as to establish the synchronization with respect to a small capacity optical transmitter in compliance with the optical transmitter used for the SONET. CONSTITUTION:An insertion section 1 inserts a synchronizing pattern to an overhead area whose virtual group of 6Mbps is not defined for the transmitter used for a SONET and the inserted signal is outputted as an optical signal by an electrooptic conversion section 2. |
