PURPOSE:To detect all the fault modes of a high frequency amplifier concerning the fault detector of the high frequency amplifier at a radio receiver. CONSTITUTION:To the radio receiver equipped with a high frequency amplifier 22 to amplify signals received by an antenna 1 and a reception part 4 to convert the received signals amplified by the high frequency amplifier 22 to intermediate frequency signals, a variable atteuator 24 provided between the high frequency amplifier 22 and the reception part 4, an attenuation amount control part 7 to change the attenuation amount of the variable attenuator 24, and a fault detection part 8 to detect the fault state of the high frequency amplifier 22 according to the change amount of the intermediate frequency signal from the reception part 4 when the attenuation amount control part 7 changes the attenuation amount of the variable attenuator 24 are provided. |
