<p>PURPOSE: To refresh the image part of videos during the transmission of a motion-compensated continuous video image set by fractionating video images and transmitting coupled video images during a refreshing cycle, and then, compensating the motions of the videos in a refreshed area. CONSTITUTION: Video signals are inputted to a compression circuit 34 from a terminal 30 and, at the same time, a subtractor 40 subtracts predict signals from the video signals and inputs the subtracted signals to a compression circuit 36 for compression. A decompression circuit 56 decompresses compressed data. An adder 60 adds the predict signal from a corrector 64 to the decompressed data. The data from the adder 60 are stored in a storage device 62. A motion corrector 64 and a motion estimator 66 predict the preceding and current frame data. In a refresh(REF) step, the raw REF signal of a comparator 48 is transmitted in a REF mode through a line 49, a switch 50, and a multiplexer 52 so as to transmit video signals without motion compensation.</p> |
