<p>PURPOSE:To shorten waiting time for data reading by changing the transfer speed in the transfer interface with the initial declaration information of an IC card and transferring data at transfer speed for the IC card. CONSTITUTION:An information decoding part 205 takes out the transfer speed information by decoding the initial declaration information from an IC card 100 through a transfer interface 204 and gives it to a speed setting part 206. The speed setting part 206 selects the transfer speed of the transfer interface 204 from the supplied transfer speed information. A controller 201 sets the transfer speed of a data transfer modem 207 with the transfer speed information supplied from the information decoding part 205 so as to transfer data with a center side. Then, the owner of the IC card 100 can receive a service at a high speed. Thus, the user can shorten the time for data reading.</p> |
