PURPOSE:To relax the thermal stress and to improve the durability in the first, to easily manufacture a particular form product of about an ellipse form, etc., in the second, to easily manufacture the product being so small number as one kind of the component number, thus advantageous in manufacturing a catalyst of high-quality and low cost in the third, to improve the purifying performance of the catalyst to be superior in the purifying efficiency of exhaust gas by generating a turbulent flow in the fourth, and to simply and easily manufacture the catalyst without increasing the cell number and the volume and to realize without generating the problem on the cost. CONSTITUTION:A so-called helical form of corrugated sheet 5, where the corrugated form consisting of a belt-like metal and being continuously bent and formed, is provided with an inclination with respect to a belt-like side 7, is superposed by turning it upside down and overlapping it, and the alternately abutting parts being folded zigzag successively are connected. The carrier 6 has about a honeycomb structure being an assembly body of a hollow cylindrical form of cells 10 and also the total body has various kinds of the prescribed forms and the catalyst is stuck to it. |
