PURPOSE:To facilitate inspection in a rotor, to realize direct monitoring of the degree of vacuum in a vacuum chamber formed in the rotor, and to take care of droppage of vacuum in the vacuum chamber prior to occurrence of abnormal state, e.g. quench of superconducting field winding, due to protective function. CONSTITUTION:A normal temperature rotor 5 is disposed on the outer diameter side of a low temperature rotor 3 having a superconducting field winding 2 thus forming a vacuum chamber in a normal temperature rotor. Furthermore, a rotor jointing the low temperature rotor 3 and the normal temperature rotor 5 to a coupling shaft 7 and an armature winding 9 disposed oppositely to the rotor through a gap are provided and the jointing part in the rotor is tightened with bolts through a sealing packing. Furthermore, a stationary vacuum chamber 26 is provided in the gap between the rotor and the stator while covering the rotor and a vacuum sensor for monitoring the degree of vacuum is disposed in the vacuum chamber of the rotor. |
