PURPOSE:To prevent the reflection of illuminating light on a reflection mirror and the direct incidence of the light in an image guide relating to the endoscope for side viewing of an object for observation with the image guide by providing the reflection mirror inclined at 45 deg. on the front surface of the image guide and illuminates the object for observation with a light guide for illumination. CONSTITUTION:Polarizing filters 30, 32 are disposed on the front surfaces of the image guide 2 and the light guide 4 in such a manner that the planes of polarization intersect orthogonally with each other. Since only the observation light is made incident selectively on the image guide, the distinct side viewing of the object for observation is possible. |
