<p>PURPOSE: To provide a tire having a carcass showing good traveling characteristic both in the normal expansion state and in the contracted state due to a puncture. CONSTITUTION: Reinforcement inserts 13, 15 made of elastomer material interposed between a first and a second carcass plies 10, 11 to be thinner toward the respective both ends are inserted between carcasses 1 of each side wall 5 of a tire 2. The reinforcement inserts 13, 15 are joined to each other in alignment with the maximum width point 14 of the tire 2. A elastoner insert 16 of a lenticular section, internally covers the carcass ply 10 and has an area of maximum thickness 16a in alignment with the joint area 14 between the inserts 13, 15. The inserts 13, 15 act like a rigid arm hinged by the junction point 14. The mutual approaching movement of the inserts 13, 15 is counteracted by the insert 16 acting as a spring.</p> |
