The drive has a cylindrical housing (1) in which two closing pistons operate. Their closing movement is actuated by the operating pistons. The cylindrical housing is connected to an oil recovery tank via a recovery channel (13). In order to generate the mould pressure, a high-pressure piston (12) is immersed in this channel in a sealed manner under the effect of a low-pressure piston (11) which, together with the high-pressure piston, forms a piston component (10) of a pressure booster (9). The return movement of the piston component is produced by a spring (15) arranged in a recess (16) in the piston component and supported on a stationary rod (17) forming an abutment and engaging in the recess.
