PRODUCTION OF OLEOPHILIC SOFT CLOTH

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a soft cloth having excellent oil-absorption property in wet state by immersing a fluffed base cloth made of natural or synthetic fiber in a solution of a polyurethane elastomer compounded with a chemically modified collagen short fibers and buffing both surfaces of the treated cloth. CONSTITUTION:A fluffed woven or nonwoven cloth made of natural fiber or synthetic fiber is immersed in a solution produced by adding a polyurethane elastomer and 3-15wt.% (based on the elastomer) of collagen short fibers modified (tanned) with oxidized fish oil to a dimethylformamide solution of 1/3 pts. (based on the solid content of the polyurethane elastomer) of a rubbery substance (e.g. synthetic rubber or natural rubber) and the amount of the impregnated resin is adjusted to 35+ or -10wt.% based on the cloth. The treated cloth is made to react in water, washed with water, dried and buffed at both surfaces to expose the collagen fiber on the surface and obtain the objective soft cloth having excellent performance for the removal of oil blot and oil drop especially in wet state.
