A combined picture holder has square cassettes (K<1>) and rectangular cassettes (K<2>) of various sizes. Each cassette (K<1>, K<1'>, K<2>) comprises a transparent front plate (1) and a back plate (2) secured thereto. The front plates (1) are for example printed with masks (3) that surround picture windows (1a). The back of the back plates (2) is subdivided into squares (2c), of which the outer ones are designed as snap-in recesses (2c') for connecting straps (6, 16) provided with complementary snap-in recesses (6b, 16b) that engage the snap-in recesses (2c') automatically retaining the connecting straps. The distance between two adjacent snap-in recesses (2c') is indicated by X. Certain values for X were found that allow any combination of square and rectangular cassettes (K<1>, K<1'>, K<2>) for all standard picture formats. According to special designs of the connecting straps (6, 16), various combinations of cassettes, (K<1>, K<2>) that may be spaced apart or not, can be obtained. Square and rectangular cassettes (K<1>, K<1'>, K<2>) of various sizes may be combined. |
