PURPOSE:To eliminate the feeling of physical disorder of a driver by outputting a signal corresponding to a correcting steering amount for rear wheels proportional to the shift angle between the longitudinal axial line of the vehicle body front part and the longitudinal axial line of the vehicle body rear part to a rear wheel steering mechanism as a steering control signal. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle body BD is deformed at the time of turning a vehicle, the longitudinal axial line A in the vehicle body BD front part and is shifted from the longitudinal axial line B in the vehicle body BD rear part, angle detecting means 34, 35 detect a shift angle psi corresponding to this shift, and a steering amount determining means 36 determines the correcting steering amount for rear wheels RW1, RW2 corresponding to the detected shift angler psi. An output means 30 outputs a signal corresponding to the correcting steering amount to a rear wheel steering mechanism 20 as a steering control signal to steer the rear wheels RW1, RW2 by the determined correcting steering amount. Thus, a change in steering characteristic of the vehicle accompanied by the shift between both the axial lines A, B is canceled by the correcting steering of the rear wheels RW1, RW2. fore, a driver can steer the vehicle without a feeling of physical disorder. |
