PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp transfer image having gradation by mounting a means supplying a contact material to a recording body, a recording agent applying means, a means transferring a recording agent to recording paper and a means erasing a latent image and further providing a means detecting the density of the recording agent. CONSTITUTION:When a recording body 71 is heated in the presence of an ink solution by a thermal head 73, a latent image 86 having liquid bonding properties is formed and the ink solution is bonded to the latent image part to develop the latent image and the developed image is transferred to recording paper 76 to make it possible to transfer a recording image. The surface of the recording body 71 is cleaned by a brush 77 and heated by an infrared lamp 78 to erase the latent image 86. A standard image is formed to the surface of the recording body 71 as the latent image 86 and the ink solution 74 is bonded to the latent image to form an image 87. The image 87 is illuminated by a light source 80 and reflected light is detected by a photodetector 81. A control apparatus 85 receives output from the photodetector 81 and, when the density of the image 87 on the recording body 71 is lower than set density, the heating temp. of the thermal head 73 is raised by the drive unit 82 of the thermal head 73 or the temp. of the ink solution is raised by the drive unit 83 of an ink solution heater 79. |
