<p>PURPOSE:To ensure prevention of clogging of a trap filter and simplify a regeneration device, by providing the trap filter in an exhaust port of a cylinder head and providing a control means which regulates suction pipe back pressure in accordance with open-aging conditions by opening and closing a throttle valve installed at a midway point in the suction pipe. CONSTITUTION:A trap filter is provided at a juncture of an exhaust port to seize particulates in exhaust gas. A suction pipe 32 is provided with a throttle valve 34 therein, which is driven by a diaphragm device 35. Back pressure of a vacuum pump 36 driven by an engine 1 is supplied to the throttle valve 34 through a pressure regulating valve 37, which regulates the back pressure in accordance with signals from an electronic control unit 38 so as to operate the throttle valve 34 to open and close. This suppresses the temperature of exhaust gas supplied to a trap filter and promotes self-regeneration of the trap filter.</p> |
