PURPOSE:To permit the disposal of a large quantity of coal ashes by subjecting the ammonium salt-added coal ashes collected after the treatment by a denitration device to a high-speed kneading, while adding to the same water or hot water whose critical plasticity is 5-20 smaller than that of the ashes. CONSTITUTION:The ammonium-added coal ashes collected after the treatment of exhaust gases emitted from a coal burning boiler by a denitration device employing an ammonia contact reducing process are subjected to a high-speed kneading, while adding to the same water or hot water whose critical plasticity is 5-20 smaller than that of the ashes. And the ammonia wherein not less than 90wt.% is granulated to a particle of diameter of 0.1-2mm is subjected to stripping. There is also used an alternative method wherein the high-speed kneading is effected while adding the aforesaid water or hot water and wherein the ammonia of not less than 90wt.% is granulated to a particle diameter of 0.1-2mm with a pH of not less than 11.0 for ammonia stripping. |
