After the first tanning, the pattern is made up for the pieces, which are cut and sewn to form the garment with the untreated leather. Next, a second tanning is carried out, the leather is dyed and dried, these stages being carried out on conventional machines for making up textile clothes, and at ambient temperature. The process also comprises one or more stages of ageing with or without chemical aggression. In this way, the ready-made, undyed garments may be stored, dyeing taking place subsequently. The process thus facilitates adaptation of manufacture to the requirements of the market.
