A copolyesteramide resin is produced by copolymerizing dicarboxylic acid component and glycol component with the reaction product obtained by reacting isocyanate compound (A) with aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (B) [the molar ratio of A to B is 1:2 . The isocyanate compound (A) is pref. 2,4- or 2,6-toluene diisocyanate, bitoluene diiisocyanate, hexamethylene diisocyanate, 3- or 1.4-phenylene diisocyanate, 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocynate and/ or 4,4',4"- triphenylenemethane triisocyanate. The acid (B) is pref. C1-12 aliphatic dicarboxylic acid. The resin has a good mechanical property and moldability.
