PURPOSE:To extract one unit in a black image area at high speed by simple algorithm by extracting after enlarging the minimum line width of binary image data to at least two picture elements. CONSTITUTION:Inconvenience in the tracking of a contour can be eliminated by enlarging the binary image data so as to set the minimum line width at the two picture elements. The outermost line of a pattern remarking the tracking of the contour is traced so as to form one tracking line. The tracking line starts from an upper side black block, and it is not returned to the upper side again after arriving at a lower side black block. Therefore, the tracking line can be returned to a tracking line Tb by performing enlargement as stated above, which forms a closed loop. At this time, smoothing processing is performed by adding at least two black picture elements b1 and b2 on a constricted part. Thereby, it is possible to extract the one unit in the black image area at high speed by the simple algorithm. |
