PURPOSE:To strongly and closely bond an image part to a support and to make coloration hard to generate in a non-image part by providing a hydrated oxide film to the surface of an aluminum plate aluminum plate to anodic oxidation in a sulfuric acid electrolyte to prepare a support and providing. a photosensitive layer containing o-quinone diazide on the support. CONSTITUTION:In order to remove the rolling oil on the surface of an aluminum plate, for example, the aluminum plate is subjected to degreasing treatment using a surfactant or an alkaline aqueous solution and graining treatment prior to anodic oxidation to provide a hydrated oxide film on the treated surface of the aluminum plate. The hydrated oxide film is formed by immersing the aluminum plate in hot water and the pref. temp. of the hot water is appropriately selected within the range of 50-100 deg.C. The treated surface is subsequently subjected to anodic treatment. The amount of the anodic oxide film is pref. 1-6g/m<2>. A positive type photosensitive diazo compound layer containing a o-quinone diazide is provided to the surface thus provided with one anodic oxide film. It is pref. to use the o-quinone diazide compound in the state mixed with an alkali-soluble resin. As the pref. alkali-soluble resin, a novolac type phenol resin is contained. |
