The device is used in the production of openings for compounds of the type dovetail in the furniture industry. It ensures the self-wedging and a higher reliability of the joints. The device includes a spindle (1), placed in radial bearings (2), and connected to the tool (3). Between the spindle (1) and the tool (3) a cardonium connecter is mounted (4) and a spindle (5), placed in a self-adjusting bearing (6), situated in a cross carriage (7). The carriage (7) is on one side radially leaning against the axis of the shaft (5) with springs (8) and is limited in motion by an adjuster bolt (9) and on the other side by is limited by an adjuster support (10). Perpendicularly to the adjuster support (10) and the cantilever (11) a round pin is mounted (12), to which is pressed a handle (13) placed in the cantilever (11). Other versions are possible. If the handle (13) is replaced by a pneumatic cylinder (14).
