PURPOSE:To make it possible to print with high density and high gloss having clear contours by providing means for fixing recording ink on a body to be transferred. CONSTITUTION:A body to be transferred 11 is wound on a platen 14 being pressed by conveying rollers 12 and 13 and conveyed in the direction of an arrow A according as progress of recording. A carriage 17 is arranged movably in the direction parallel with an axis of the platen 14 being guided by guide axes 15 and 16. On the carriage 17, an ink jet head 18 having a plurality of nozzles is mounted. Ink drips are ejected from the nozzles with movement of the head in the direction of an arrow B so as to form ink images on the body to be transferred 11, thereafter, they are fixed by a fixing means 19. For the fixing means 19, heat roll, air blasting, hot blast, halogen lamp, quartz lamp, laser beam, thermal head, incandescent lamp, and infrared ray lamp can be used. By using the means for fixing the recording ink on the body to be transferred, clear recording can be performed on any body to be transferred with high density without bleeding, providing drying property and fixing property. It is possible to print with high grade also on general OHP papers at a high speed. |
