PURPOSE:To effectively remove the ozone generated at the time of non- formation of images by providing the surface potential control means of a photosensitive body and operating a discharge fan when this surface potential control means operates. CONSTITUTION:A main motor, the discharge fan 1 and the surface potential control means 15 start operating simultaneously when a main switch is turned on in a rising stage at the time of using the image forming device under halt. The ozone generated by the operation of an electrifier 17 controlled by the surface potential control means 15 flows together with the discharge air flow in a discharge duct 7 and the ozone is cracked by an ozone cracking agent 3 sticking to ozone filters 2, 2' in these filters. The surface potential control means 19 stops operating when the surface potential control is over a prescribed period of time ends. The discharge fan 2 and the main motor stop operating thereafter respectively with slight time lags. |
