Compsn. contains bacteria producing lactic acid, in an aq. soln. of alkali salts of 1-8C fatty acids, and opt. carriers and/or aids. Pref. the bacteria are in an aq. soln. of alkali (Na and/or K) salts of 1-3C aliphatic fatty acids, or of 4-8C fatty acids opt. mixed with salts of 1-3C fatty acids. The bacteria are of the genera Lactobacillus, Streptococcus or Pediococcus, esp. L. plantarum, partic. L. plantarum DSM 3676 and/or 3677, opt. with 10-90% of DSM 3676 and 90-10% of DSM 3677. |
