PURPOSE:To make it possible to input data at a place separated from a vehicle and to make it possible to attach the apparatus to a body later by inputting the position of an intersection and the advancing direction at the intersection from the side of a remote control part, and outputting the position of the intersection and the advancing direction at the intersection which are stored in a second memory means into the light receiving means of a main body part with optical signals. CONSTITUTION:In a remote control part 200, the position of an intersection and the advancing direction with respect to a route are inputted into a RAM 25 beforehand from a map. The stored position of the intersection and the advancing direction at the intersection are outputted as optical signals. The outputted intersection data are received with a light receiving means 10 in a main body part 100. The position of the intersection and the advancing direction at the intersection are stored in the RAM 5. The position of an automobile is measured by using a position measuring artificial satellite. The advancing direction at the intersection is stored in the RAM 5 with the measured position as a reference. The advancing direction at the intersection is read out from the measured position. The advancing direction at the intersection is displayed on a display means 4 at the specified distance before the read-out intersection. |
