The IC engine has at least one row of cylinders, and an air intake manifold for each row, the cylinder head (1) being fitted with a cover (2) in which camshafts (3, 5) are located. In the upper and side part of the cover an air intake pipe (7) is connected directly to the suction channel (9) of the cylinder head. The ratio between the dia. of an exhaust valve (6) and an inlet valve (4) is 0.9 to 1.1. times the ratio of the sines of the angle (alphas) of the inlet valve and the sine of the angle (alpha V) of the exhaust valve, the sum of both angles amounting to 40 deg. plus or minus 2 deg. On the same side of both valves (4,6) tolerance compensator components (11), each with a rocker (10), are fitted. USE - IC engine cylinder with overhead camshaft valve control.
