This invention relates to a selective method of proliferation of at least one of certain lymphocytic cellular subpopulations, particularly the CD4<+>, CD8<+>, and Natural Killer (NK) subpopulations, within a starting population of peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL). A relatively small amount of a starting peripheral blood lymphocytic cellular population is cultured in a multi-step process, beginning with an anti-CD3 antibody immobilized to a culturing substrate. |
