MANUFACTURE 0F ENGAGING PROJECTION IN INSERT METAL TOOL

PURPOSE:To continuously execute a series of working process to formation of projection in an insert metal tool till completing by pushing up a part of side face in the metal tool as parallel to axial direction of a hole in the metal tool and forming an engaging projection.. CONSTITUTION:Other end face of the material F is held with a chuck at a position facing to a die 61 in front of a hole 62 of the die 61. A punch 64 is shifted to the die 61 side with considerable acceleration. By this method, the other end face of material F comes to reach bottom of the hole 62 of the die 61 and a part of the side part in the material F is pushed up to the position corresponding to the end part of projecting stripes 66 for forming projection in the side face of die 61 to form the engaging projection 65. Finally, a die pin 5 pushes the insert metal tool positioned in the hole 62 from the other end side of die 61 through a passage 3 to out of the hole 62.
