<p>PURPOSE:To improve alignment property on a tray by detecting size of a discharged paper sheet, classifying into two groups, and sending the paper sheet of size belonging to a same group to a specified tray. CONSTITUTION:Size of paper sheets charged in paper feed cassettes 21 - 23 and a paper feed unit 24 are detected with sensors SE11 - SE14, and the paper sheet is selectively fed one by one with paper feed rollers 25 - 28. The size of the paper sheet is judged to be large or small, and the large one is sent to a tray 70, the small one is sent to a tray 70a, by changeover with a changeover claw 67. At this time, the paper sheets are aligned by shifting of respective trays with shift motors 73, 73a. Changeover of the changeover claw 67 is not performed if the preceding paper sheet and the present fed paper sheet are in the same group, and they are received in the same tray. Consequently, the paper sheets of same size or nearly same size are received on each tray 70, 70a, dislocation or turbulence of the paper sheet is not generated, and hence alignment property of the paper sheet is improved.</p> |
