A water-based adhesive which contains, as a tracer, a dye which, on evaporating off a volatile component in addition to water in connection with drying the adhesive, will change from a darker to a lighter colour or become colourless. Such an adhesive is well-suited for use, for example, in the upholstered furniture industry, where invisible glue joints are sought after, for example under upholstery fabrics which consist of light-coloured textiles. |
