<p>A refrigerator door (22) for a refrigerated display case (20). The door includes a glass unit having first (42) and second (44) spaced apart glass panels where the first panel (42) has a forward facing surface (46) and the second panel (44) has a rearward facing surface (48). A spacer element (60, 64) extends between the first and second glass panels. The door includes an external perimeter wall (68) extending from the front of the door to the back of the door from a point adjacent the edge of the first panel to a point adjacent the second panel. The door also includes a second frame element wall (100, 178, 104, 180, 124, 182) which extends between the first and second spaced panels and extends out of the spaced apart panels to the perimeter wall. The door also includes a rear wall portion (136) extending inwardly toward the center of the door from the perimeter wall and over a portion of the rearward facing surface of the second panel.</p> |
