PURPOSE:To improve the capacity characteristic of a lead acid storage battery after discharge by limiting the temperature and kneading time of water and dilute sulfuric acid used for paste kneading. CONSTITUTION:In a process in which water and dilute sulfuric acid are added to lead powder, having a main component of lead and lead oxide, to be kneaded for manufacturing positive electrode paste, water kept at 5 deg.C or less is added, then kneading is made for within two minutes, dilute sulfuric acid, in a range of an icing point or more and 0 deg.C or less, is dropped for within three minutes, and moreover the kneading is made for thirty minutes or more after finishing the dropping of the dilute sulfuric acid. |
