PURPOSE:To obtain a refrigerating machine oil having excellent compatibility with non-chlorine fluorocarbon as well as chlorine-containing fluorocarbon and exhibiting high electrical insulation, lubrication characteristics, hydrolysis resistance and low corrosiveness by using a carbonic acid ester having a specific structure as a main component. CONSTITUTION:The objective refrigerating machine oil is composed mainly of a carbonic acid ester of formula I [X1 is H or group of formula II; R1 to R3 are 1-12C alkyl, 5-12C cycloalkyl or 5-30C neorentyl-tyre polyol residue having 3-8 OH grouprs; R4 is 1-6C alkyl; a is 1 or 2; b is 0 or 1; a+b is 2; m is 0-30 (when m is 0, R1 and/or R2 are neopentyl polyol residue); n is integer of 1-3]. |
