The door has two wooden jambs on opposite vertical sides and top and bottom sills made from wood extend between these two jambs to form a frame. All or some of the space inside the frame, preferably only the lower half of this space, is filled by a wooden panel and/or plank material. The jambs and sills all have a single-piece construction. The wood for the frame and/or filling comprises chemically or thermally modified pinewood, which can optionally be laminated and/or finger-jointed. |
